Our plan is to have the car ready to run at the World of Speed event at the Bonneville Salt Flats September 6 to 9, 2024. Before and after the World of Speed we will display the car at car shows and other events. To finish building a car like this has required a lot of help and patience and help from my wife Sandy and friends.
About me: In 2014 and 2018 I ran the 150 Club at the Bonneville Salt Flats in a 1968 Camaro. We have decided to build a 1970 Monte Carlo to attempt to break the Classic Gas Coup A/CGC class record which is currently 237.280 mph. The car will be built as a tribute to the men and women of the United States Marine Corps and the Oregon State Police as well as all veterans. I had the opportunity to work with some of the finest men and women in the world before retiring from both of these outstanding organizations. My hope is that I can show everybody that just because you retire you don't have to give up your dreams.
